Fighting for the British during the American Revolution. Brant lead four (one of which were the Mohawks) of the tribes of the Iroquois to fight with white British loyalists in New York known as Butler’s Rangers. In response, General George Washington sent General John Sullivan who destroyed forty Iroquois Villages as well as all their crops. The Iroquois nearly died of starvation.
