Seven. There were four forgers, two "lunatics" and one "deviant" aristocrat, the Comte de Solages. The most famous "deviant" aristocrat held there, the Marquis de Sade, had been transferred 10 days before. The storming of the prison is still celebrated as French National Day, or Bastille Day.
