Yongju. On October 22, 1950, the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, advancing to the aid of members of the US 187th Airborne Regiment were fired on outside Yongju. After three hours they routed a numerically superior force, at a cost of just seven wounded, and broke through to American positions.
