Bolivia. Ernesto "Che" Guevara was Argentinean by birth. He fought with Fidel Castro in Cuba’s communist revolution. In 1967, after having been ejected from the Congo by mercenary forces, he tried to foment a Marxist revolt in Bolivia. He was betrayed by a Bolivian peasant, captured and killed by CIA-trained Bolivian soldiers.
