Tubeless tires. Tubeless tires were a huge improvement over tires with an inner tube. With no inner tube the tires dissipated heat faster making them last longer, and there was no friction between the outer tire wall and the inner tube, meaning fewer blowouts. Children, who used old inner tubes to float on water, probably weren’t as impressed.
