Simo Hayha of Finland has 505 confirmed kills with a rifle and another 200 with a submachine gun. He saw active service during the Soviet invasion of Finland (The Winter War, 1939 – 1940). He fought for just under 100 days, until he was wounded by a stray bullet. He was nicknamed "White Death" by Red Army soldiers.
