Alexander the Great. The city Alexander founded and named was on the Hydaspes River; his horse, Bucephalus, is thought to have died from injuries in the Battle of Hydaspes in 326 B.C. It is believed that the city of Jhelum in Pakistan stands where Bucephala once stood.
