Ernie Pyle. As a wartime journalist, Pyle wrote about common soldiers more than he wrote about officers, but he did a six-part series about Bradley, depicting him as a regular guy who happened to be a general, the "GI General." Pyle won a Pulitzer Prize in 1944. He was killed during the Okinawa Campaign.
