1st Battalion, 201st Field Artillery. According to the United States Army Institute of Heraldry, it was organized February 17, 1735, as part of Capt. Morgan Morgan’s Volunteer Militia of Orange County, Virginia. It joined the Continental Army on June 14, 1775, and has continually served since then.
