Mordecai Ham. Graham’s conversion occurred in 1934. Except for a two-year stint as a pastor, Ham was a traveling evangelist from 1902 – 1940 and a radio evangelist from 1940 – 1961. Graham became perhaps the best-known Protestant evangelist of the 20th century.
