Entebbe Airport, Uganda. On July 4, 1976, Lt. Col. Netanyahu led 200 Israeli commandos who rescued 100 passengers of an Air France jet that had been hijacked by pro-Palestinian terrorists and were being held with the support of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. Netanyahu was the only member of the assault team killed in the raid.
