Ross Perot. While the owner of Electronic Data Systems, Perot became deeply involved in the plight of American POWs in Vietnam. Perot organized and flew into North Vietnam attempting to deliver Christmas relief to the POWs. The North Vietnamese turned the supply flights away, but the publicity for Perot’s efforts brought the POW issue to the attention of American public.
