Henry IV – Henry Bolingbroke – usurped the crown of Richard II. He was stricken with a terrible rash and facial tumor, reportedly within hours after having the Archbishop of York assassinated. On March 20, 1413, he collapsed while praying in Westminster Abbey. He was carried into the Jerusalem Chamber, named for the tapestries on its walls, and died there.
