Walter P. Chrysler (1875-1940) founded the Chrysler Corporation on June 6, 1925, when the Maxwell Motor Company was reorganized. His goal was to produce an advanced engineered car that the general public could afford. Advances included rubber engine mounts to reduce vibration and air and oil filters.
