Wayne E. Lee, the Bruce W. Carney Distinguished Professor of History at the University of North Carolina, is now serving as the Colin S. Gray Visiting Professor of Strategic Studies at the U.S. Air Force’s School for Advanced Air and Space Studies at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. He is the author of many books on military history, including Waging War: Conflict, Culture, and Innovation in World History (Oxford University Press, 2015).
