Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, Gives Birth to a Boy

The wait for “birth-watchers” is over. The BBC reports that at 16:24 BST, the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to an 8-pound, 6-ounce boy. The child’s name has not yet been released to the public.

    This baby has now forever become a part of history.

    It is the first time since the days of the reign of Queen Victoria that that there have been Three Kings to the British Throne at the same time. It might not happen again.

    As a Canadian and a staunch Monarchist, I do wish that all websites and publications would stop referring to The Duchess of Cambridge as “Kate Middleton” She has not been Kate Middleton
    for two years. I don’t mind the use of “Kate” but using the surname Middleton is just not appropriate anymore.
