Written by the son of one of the group’s pilots, Second to None is a labor of love, prepared with the full cooperation of surviving fighter group participants.
Grace interweaves personal narratives throughout his account in the best Stephen Ambrose style. It is a delight to read, and its 546 pages are complemented by 17 detailed appendices. Anyone interested in P-47 operations should have this book.
