STORY IDEAS AND WRITERS GUIDELINES
If you have a story idea for one of our magazines, please feel free to email it the appropriate magazine or mail it to:

[Magazine] Story Idea
9720 Wilshire Blvd., 6th Floor
Beverly Hills CA 90212

We feel that the best guidelines for writing for our magazines are our magazines themselves. If you are interested in submitting a query or writing for our magazines, please pick up several issues from the past few months and read through them. By doing this, you can gain a better sense of the type of writing we are looking for here at HistoryNet.

Please note that World War II and Military History no longer consider full manuscripts submitted on spec, as all of the articles appearing in these magazines are now written by freelance writers. All assigned articles are based on queries and prior discussion. If you are interested in writing for Military History or World War II, please send us a query – just a page or so – outlining the subject and your approach to it, and why you believe this would be an important article for the magazine. It would also be helpful if you would summarize briefly your prior writing experience in a cover note.

If you would like your event listed in one of our magazines, please use the above emails to email which magazine you would like it to appear in, and someone will respond to your request.
