Painting of Birthplaces of US Presidents John and John Quincy Adams, as they appeared in 1849. On left is the John Quincy Adams birthplace and home of John and Abigail Adams. Both houses remained in the possession of Adams descendants until purchased by the city of Quincy in 1940. The two houses are now part of Adams National Historical Park.
