The National Museum of the United States Army, which is slated to open in about two years at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, is home to many historical artifacts that tell the story of the U.S. Army from the birth of the nation to today. Among those artifacts are several rare items that highlight the African American experience in the Army during the Revolutionary War and Civil War.
