As much of the world shifts to online learning, the National World War II Museum, despite temporarily shuttering its doors, is swiftly adapting to life in the time of Covid-19.

While many might be experiencing Zoom fatigue, you won’t want to miss the museum’s upcoming lecture lineup. Hosted every weekday on the Zoom platform, the museum’s webinars include “Get in the Scrap at Home Edition” where the audience will be joined by Museum Educator Adam Foreman to discuss “scrapping efforts on the WWII Home Front” and how to apply those lessons today.

On May 19 listeners will get to “Ask a Curator” and learn about the Battle of the Atlantic and how the “Allies turned the Kriegsmarine’s ‘Happy Time’ into a “Black May.’ ” The following day audiences can tune in is as historian Saul David, author of Crucible of Hell, joins the museum to discuss the final battle of the Pacific War—Okinawa.

For budding and avid historians alike, the museum is providing a new and inventive ways to learn about the largest global conflict in modern history.
