When Lt. Col. David Marcus was buried at West Point in 1948, he was the only soldier buried there who died while fighting under the flag of another nation. Is that still the case?

Dear Michael,

As of the last check, David D. “Mickey” Marcus remains the only West Pointer who died in the service of a foreign nation to be buried there. Keep in mind that he had previously fought with distinction in the U.S. Army during World War II, prior to his becoming the highest ranking Israeli since Judas Maccabeus.

Sincerely,
