Spectators at the Sun ’n Fun Fly-In & International Expo in Lakeland, Fla., got to see the first-ever public performance in America of the Breitling Jet Team on April 24 and 25. Flying L-39 Albatroses built in Czechoslovakia, the France-based sevenperson aerobatic display team also made time for a salute to the Kennedy Space Center, taking off from Lakeland and passing over the NASA launch site in formation before landing in Titusville, on Florida’s east coast. To cap off the summer performance schedule, Breitling’s team will be appearing on August 1-2 at the Boeing Seafair Airshow in Seattle, Wash.; August 15-16 at the Chicago Air & Water Show; and September 2 at Thunder Over the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, N.J.
