Dear Jon Guttman;

Burt was my Great, Great Uncle. I am his sisters', Grace Elise Brittin, Great Grandson and am delighted that this article exists. I didn't know him very well for I was very young when I got to meet him on some of our family beach trips in the early 90's, some Christmases and/or Thanksgivings ( my memory is a little vague but my Grandmother will know the answer). Reading this has given me some insight into who he was, thank you. I look forward to telling the tale of 'Uncle Burt' (as my cousins and I referred to him) to my children.

Sincerely

Dear Mr. Morales,

I don't know if anyone ever responded to your inquiry or if you were ever able to contact any of the Brittins but I have known all of them since my high school years (Peter was my high school sweetheart.) If you have not been able to contact them please let me know and I will help out.

Sincerely,

Lee Vanderhoef

I was the personal steward of then Captain Brittin on board the USS MAURY (AGS-16)in 1963. I would like very much to contact the family whom I knew then, namely Mrs. Gertrude Brittin and the three sons Michael, Chris and Peter.
