World War II Era Ship Found Off Gopalpur

A ship, believed to be of World War II vintage, is found under sea water near Gopalpur in the district. This has become a major draw for tourists and curious locals who are thronging the beach. It is one of the many such sinking ships of British era along the southern coast of Bay of Bengal. The incident came to light after internationally- acclaimed Oriya scuba diver Sabir Buksh dived into sea in the confluence area near Gopalpur.
