LT Claire W. Evans was the pilot of 272, Seattle Sue, not LT Blain. Also, there were two survivors from the Seattle Sue. SGT Norman B. Cooler (my uncle), the top turret gunner, and F/O Abraham Teller, the Navigator were both captured by Germans on the ground after successfully parachuting from the plane.
