There was a dam finally reached that abandoned   by the time our troops reached it.</description>

		<description>I am looking for a movie during where the Germans and Americans
were fighting to take a bridge or dam during World War II. and about 70,000 men were killed.  I have checked the Siege of Bastogne, but that is not it.
