He is related to me as well , and I do have a little bit of his history , especially relating to his execution in 1945.
I do not know however of his time in the Foreign Legion though.
Kind Regards

A Silver Fillagree Crucifix:

My late father-in-law, then a trooper with the 2/16th HQ unit during the Invasion of Lebanon, cared for a mortally wounded Vichy Legionaire at the battle for the Litani River crossing. The wounded soldier gave my father-in-law his crucifix before dying. I keep the crucifix to remind me that there can still be humanity between enemies.
Can anyone help me identify Vichy 6th REI casualties from the Battle of the Litani? I would like to identify that Legionaire if possible.
