My father Ralph G. Campoy was in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. He is very proud of his service and shares his many stories with friends and family. He visits many schools and tells the students of his adventures in Holland and Belgian.
If anyone knows my father of Los Angeles, Ca. I'd like to hear from you.

Pvt Joe Mann was not killed by a sniper but fell on a grenade with both arms bound to his side from four previous wounds. The grenade mortally wounded him. He was post humously awarded the CMH for his heroism which included destroying an 88mm gun with a bazooka.

Recently learned that my dad, John Basil Hopkins, was assigned Battery A, 321st FA (GFAB – attached to 101st) when he was discharged 4 October 1945… 321st was deactivated 30 November 1945.
Any info, or possible links, regarding his unit/movements would be greatly appreciated. (I have plenty of time and motivation to sift through info)

if any one at all knew my father nicholas adono of miami,florida.who was in the us army in the 101st airborne screaming eagles.please let me know at donaadono@comcast.net now there were two nichoals adono's.the first one was my grandfather nichols adono who was shot and killed on sunny isle rd. which now may be called a cause way in miami,florida. and the other nicholas adono who was in the 101 airborne screming eagles in ww2.he was at d-day.he did survive the war. thankyou and i hope to hear from someone soon.10-02-2009 friday
