Lee's great flaw was his reliance on others, like Stuart during the invasion of Pennsylvania campaign in 1863. Hmmmmm, for tactical ability it is, without a doubt T. J. When he finally lost the ALABAMA, CSA gave him a general's commission. When the war ended, a lot of northerners would have been perfectly happy to see him hanged along with Wirz, not because he harmed so many people physically but because he knew how to wage economic warfare so successfully.
