Uruguay’s Suarez playing handball to luck (not cheat) their way past Ghana in 2010
when we beat Australia, England and Argentina by a combined total of 12 to 1. WUNDERBAR!!!
I was in Brasil in 1969 and the locals were kind enough to invite me to see Brasil vs. Paraguay in a World Cup regional game. I didn't want to be rude so I faked excitement when they stood up a cheered. Final score as I recall was 2-0 Brasil. Ho hum. To me, it was a few guys taking turns kicking a ball back and forth, up and down a field. They'd screw up a few times and the ball would go into this net thingy. I suppose that net was there so the ball wouldn't go into the moat? They were all cheering this one guy named Peeleo or Paylay or something. He'd do flips while kicking the ball or run around the opposing guy and make him look like an idiot. That part was funny. Why didn't he just kick the ball straight up? Nobody could tell me that.
