The article has an error. The Battle of Neuve Chapelle occured on March 10 and ended on March 13 1915. By the end of day one, Gobar Singh Negi (Garwah RIfles) won the Victoria Cross and this is the cross reference to prove the date of the Battle of Neuve Chapelle took place on that day. It was also the first time in history that timed artillery barrages followed by infantry had been employed as a tactic.
