Kathy: I have a history book (not a novel) "Nana's Raid: Apache Warfare in Southern New Mexico, 1881" by Stephen H. Lekson. I also enjoyed reading the NOVEL, "Josanie's War: A Chiricahua Apache Novel" by Karl H. Schlesier. I think both are avable from Amazon.--Katey

Thsi article was very interesting to me because of my family ties to Berenda Creek. I'm looking for any further info about my great grandfather and great grandmother: Benjamin Franklin Parks and Addie Knight Parks, who homesteaded on Berenda Creek beginning 1883, and supposedly suffered one Indian raid in which one hired hand was killed (could it have been by Nanas band?). Ben Franklin Parks raised angora goats and had a large vegetable garden, and sold vegetables to the miners in Lake Valley. Thanks for any further info.

I would appreciate someone's help with this:

I'm looking for a novel about Nana, Warm Spings Apache warrior leader, that I read in the late 1960's or early 70's. I believe it would be considered an historical novel. I don't remember the title or the author. If someone could supply me with this info or point me in a direction to look, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Kathy Sudduth
