New information is constantly coming to light about the war, and even when every "fact" is known (a time that is not likely to ever come), the facts are still open to varying interpretation by scholars. Some of those interpretations will not match the propagandized versions held dear by the Russian people. It should not be up to Kremlin officials to decide what historical works present the "truth." That would be a clear signal that Russia is regressing into Soviet modes of thought.
