I was with Don Kuzilla when he died in the same fox hole with me, Don, and Laboo our gunner. I'm so sorry that he had to die so young and has missed a lifetime. I'm just finding all this stuff about our Company and want to contact people that I served with. I think we all swept it under the rug for forty years. Dan Simmons A Company 4/31 196th L.I.B.
I was disappointed to see that you did not choose to share James Logue's article on line here -- I have looked for it locally, but have not been able to find the August 2012 issue.

I was recently told that a high school friend of mine, Donald Kuzilla, was featrued in one of his photographs -- Don was killed on May 14, 1970. We had met in high school in Detroit... he was a great guy with a quick wit, and a wonderful person to know. Whenever the Traveling Wall comes close to my town in California, I always stop to visit and remember friends whose names appear there: Don and William Cleverley from my class (1968) and Gary Scovill and Robert Strange from my brother's class (1964). My brother had a chance meeting with Gary "in country" the week before he was killed. They will always be remembered.
