		<description>Thank you for sharing your loved one&#039;s (Dr. Irving A. Bunkin) diary of his time spent in New Guinea during WWII.  It sounds like he really went through a lot and thankfully made it home in one piece despite the horror and tragedy surrounding him.

My Dad (Robert E. Osborn) also was there, Captain in the Army... and would have been 25-26 at the time.  I remember seeing a case full of letters that he had written home during the war and his time spent in New Guinea and the Phillipines.  He also did not want us to see them as children and I never did get to read them.  So wish I could see what he wrote home to his Mother and Dad.</description>
