		<description>I&#039;ve been trying to find sources that reliably support the contention that the VOC endorsed the sale of the &quot;400 Guns&quot;. Prof. Axelrod would help immeasurably by citing some authoratative source we might also look over. 
Could there be minutes of the Dutch Director&#039;s meeting that can help us see and thus describe their thought process? 
Did these people realize the impact of their decision, if indeed it was their decision? 
Stuyvesant apparently delivered the weapons in 1647/48, that&#039;s documented in numerous places, not least the &quot;Remonstarnce of New Netherland&quot;, but where can we trace this to its beginning?</description>
