I believe there is a limited number of accounts about the Alamo due to the conditions in Mexico during and after the battle. The army itself, though actually very skilled - they had just finished putting down revolts in the rest of Mexico - was predominantly illiterate I think, additionally, the aftermath of the Texas Revolution, Santa Ana's capture and the loss of the territory followed by political upheaval, it probably never occurred to many in the Mexican Army to regard the Alamo as anything more than one of many small forces they destroyed (and in fact, the garrison at goliad was much larger and killed far more cruely), more likely the Battle of San Jacinto was of much more interest to them and the follow up battles in the Mexican American War.

I have read a lot of articles of what the writers say happened at the Alamo. However I only see a lot of what the Anglo side of the Alamo defenders did? What happened to the Hispanic(Mexicans from Texas) side? They died along side each other! I guess we will never be given the truth of what happened in history. Only half truths or half if that much of what those Heroes did! But I did enjoy this version of David Crockett Alamo battle! The defenders died fighting for something they believed in! Great!
