A rumour that will never be confirmed. We must give the boys of the Royal Navy credit for her sinking, as this was a very low point in the war for the British nation. A few German sailors who survived the sinking started that rumour, but does it really matter? The Bizmarck had just sunk the pride of the Royal Navy, HMS Hood. The Bizmark was sunk by the Brits!
