Hello,
Was looking for the Fetterman quote; 'Give me 80 men and I'll ride through the whole Sioux nation." Apocryphal, highly likely, but echoes in my mind from Fairfax Downey's classic "Indian Fighting Army" -
Richard Raymond III (a first cousin) authored "Portugee's Ride", an epic poem published in the US's Infantry Journal back in the 1980's.
A thriller when read aloud, if I may be allowed to say so.
