The data that has emerged from Russian Archives since 1996 conclusively shows that Alger Hiss spied for the Soviet Union. The data includes a memo listing the "failed" agents between 1938 and 1948. Alger Hiss is listed by name as a member of Whittaker Chambers's group. Unless you're a believer in the Cult of Hiss, there is no more doubt.
