Thanks for this well-written and informative article. I teach 8th grade Humanities and have been looking for a piece to compliment the reading of Huck Finn and have now found it. 

The way you succinctly tell the story of the three \abolish\ Amendments is really spot on. Also, how you add bits of other historical information that easily creates teachable moments makes me smile as a read through the article.
