What If…
…Hitler had defeated the Soviet Union
By Mark Grimsley

Grimsley's review of Herwig's theory makes no mention of the development of German jets, anti-aircraft rockets, etc., in the context of B-29s from Iceland trying to drop atomic bombs on western German cities. German jets stationed in north western France would have made short work of B-29s coming in from Iceland. If Germany had defeated the Soviet Union in 1941 or 42, the focus would have been on expediting the developmentof high-tech weapons for dealing with the eventual confrontation with the United States. This is mentioned in terms of the A9/A10 & the Type 21 U-boats, & long range Amerika bombers, but curiously nothing is mentioned about German jets (which would have included second generation jets).
