I remember as a young boy how my grandfather would drive an old Bonneville around town. He and my uncle were Pontiac men. My uncle had a GTO followed by the newer Firebird. Two great cars, sad to see them go..

Those of us that were raised in the 50's and early 60's are saying goodbye to a lot of things that were part of our life back then. I understand that is progress but it makes you sad to see how this country and companies have went from the best in the world to buying everything from someother country. I am affraid this is the start of the decline of this great country. I pray I am wrong. Sorry can't do that anymore..

One of the besr cars I ever had was a 1937 Pontiac, What a tank and it had a horn that would scare a heard of buffalo off the roak. Not only that but it was quite a girl getter. Large back seat!!

How sad to see this car dissapear.
Remembering the good old times.

I remember in the 80's Roger Smith of GM was asked something to the effect of "But what GM car can a first type buyer get?" And he said something like, well, they can get a good used Buick. So much for Sloan's idea of having a customer throughout the lifecycle. I bought a Chevy Cavalier in 1986 and never went back to GM after that.
