I am transcribing the War Diaries of the British AA Sections in the Salonika Front and that for 91st AA Section slightly contradicts this article's account of Ltn von Eschwege's death. He had been a persistent attacker of the 17th Kite Balloon Section's balloons since October 1917, as the article says, and his red Albatros D.III is routinely mentioned in the records of 91st and 74th AA Sections, whose four guns operate on the Struma front. 91st saw him the most often and its guns were at Coles Kop (A Subsection) and Turica (B Subsection). The Diary record says:

10.40 hours: A Sub engaged hostile plane, red ALBATROS D.III, approaching balloon from W. Fired 6 rounds before plane reached balloon, which blew up at 10.42. Plane crashed.
