Video phone. Although a video phone had been demonstrated at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, it took nearly 30 years of development to make a practical one. In 1992 AT&T release the VideoPhone 2500 at a mere $1,499. Sells never took off and the phone was discontinued in 1995.
