Band-Aid. Dickson, a cotton buyer for Johnson and Johnson, was distressed by all the cuts his wife’s fingers received as she prepared food. To protect them, he invented the Band-Aid. James Johnson manufactured them and made Dickson vice-president of Johnson and Johnson.
