Suicide. Ringo was found dead under a tree in 1882 in Arizona with a bullet wound in his head. Although his death was called as a suicide, his pistol was found fully loaded. Many believed Ringo was murdered, and usually fingers pointed at Doc Holliday, claiming Ringo was killed as part of the Clanton-Earp feud that spawned the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
