B-25 "Mitchell". The B-25 was a mainstay of America’s air war during World War Two, being used in both the European and Pacific Theaters. The B-25 is most famous as the plane used on the 1942 Doolittle Raid on Japan. Launched from carriers, the B-25 was the first airplane to bomb Japan.
