Second Italian-Abyssinian War (1935 – 36). Since the Italians' Regio Aeronautica had air superiority it could bomb at will and used poison gas to attack the Ethiopians. The psychological and physical effects of the bombing were tremendous; this war did not end in Ethiopian victory as the First Italian-Abyssinian War had (1895 – 96).
